We chose the train, which is, without a doubt, the most picturesque and comfortable way to reach it from Lisbon. The Cascais line departs from Cais do Sodré station and runs along the coast, offering spectacular views of the Tagus estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. Estoril station is literally a few steps from the beach, making the journey an experience in itself, hassle-free and very pleasant.

If you prefer the comfort of your own vehicle, that's also a viable option. There are several parking areas nearby, although in high season it can be a challenge to find a free spot and some are paid. From Lisbon, the drive takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, following the A5 or the scenic Marginal Avenue (N6), a road that runs along the coast. Local buses also connect Estoril with other nearby towns, offering an alternative if you're staying in Cascais or Sintra. The ease of access is, without a doubt, one of Tamariz's great strengths.
