How to get to Praia de Quiaios

Getting to Praia de Quiaios is relatively straightforward, and the route itself offers us charming landscapes that anticipate the beauty of the destination. If we are coming from Coimbra city, the journey is approximately 60 kilometres to the west, which will take us around 45-50 minutes by car. The most direct way is to take the A14 and then turn off onto the N109 and follow the signs to Quiaios and Figueira da Foz.

For those travelling by public transport, it is possible to reach Figueira da Foz by train or bus from Portugal's main cities. Once in Figueira da Foz, there are local buses connecting to Quiaios, although the frequency may vary depending on the season. We always recommend a car to have the freedom to explore not only the beach but also the surroundings and hidden charms of the region. Parking at Praia de Quiaios is usually spacious and with good availability, even in high season, which is a great advantage.

• Summer (June to September): This is the high season and, without a doubt, the best for those looking to enjoy the sun, swimming and the liveliest beach atmosphere. The days are long and sunny, the temperatures pleasant and all services are in full operation. It is ideal for families and for those wanting a refreshing dip in the Atlantic. However, it is when the beach is most crowded.
• Spring (April and May) and Autumn (October): These seasons are perfect for those who prefer tranquillity and a more intimate contact with nature. The temperatures
