By Car

If we choose to drive, the beach is well signposted and easily accessible from the A28 or the VCI (Porto's inner ring road). The journey from the center of Porto usually takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.

By Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, Porto's metro network offers an excellent connection. We can take the A line (blue) to Matosinhos Sul station, and from there, a pleasant 15-20 minute walk will take us directly to the beach. There are also several bus lines connecting Porto and Matosinhos with Leça da Palmeira, making access even easier without the need for a private vehicle. It's a very comfortable and economical option, and allows us to not worry about parking.

From the Airport

If we arrive by plane at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO), Praia de Leça da Palmeira is a very short distance away, approximately 10-15 minutes by taxi or rental car. It is also possible to get there by metro, taking the E line (purple) to one of Porto's main stations and then transferring, although for greater comfort with luggage, a taxi or VTC is the most practical option.
