After crossing the bridge, a paved road winds its way to a parking area.

By Car

The most common route is from Vila Nova de Milfontes. Simply follow the signs south towards Almograve or Zambujeira do Mar. The bridge over the Mira River is a key landmark. Once on the other side, the signage for 'Praia das Furnas' is quite visible. There is a parking lot, often paid during the high season, which facilitates access to the sand. It's important to remember that, being in a natural park, the roads can be narrower and more winding, but the landscape more than makes up for it.
