If we are coming from Lisbon, the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on traffic and our speed. The main route involves following the A2 south, a well-maintained highway, and then taking well-signposted exits towards the Alentejo coast, passing through charming localities like Santiago do Cacém and the historic city of Sines. The landscape during the trip is a visual delight, with extensive cork oak fields, small white villages, and the promise of the sea breeze becoming increasingly stronger as we approach the Atlantic coast.

If our base of operations is the city of Setúbal itself, the journey is somewhat shorter and more direct, around 1 hour and 15 minutes. In this case, we will follow the N120 and then the signs towards Porto Covo or Vila Nova de Milfontes, as the beach is strategically located between these two charming and popular coastal towns. Upon arrival, we will find a spacious and relatively well-organized parking area, which is a great advantage. However, we always advise arriving early, especially during the high season (summer months) and on weekends, to secure a good spot and be able to enjoy the first morning hours on the beach with greater tranquility and fewer crowds. Generally, there is a small fee for using the parking, but it is minimal and contributes directly to the maintenance and cleaning of the area, which we greatly appreciate.
