How to Get to Praia da Torreira

Getting to Praia da Torreira is relatively straightforward, and the route itself can be part of the experience, especially if coming from the city of Aveiro. We recommend the car as the most comfortable and flexible option, as it allows us to explore the surroundings with total freedom.

By Car

From Aveiro, the most common route is to take the N109-5 towards Murtosa and then follow the signs to Torreira. The journey is approximately 25-30 kilometers and will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The road passes through picturesque landscapes, with the Ria de Aveiro by our side, offering spectacular views. There are ample free parking areas near the beach, which makes visiting very easy, even during the busiest months.

By Public Transport

Although less direct, it is possible to reach by public transport. There are bus lines connecting Aveiro with Murtosa and Torreira. The company Transdev usually operates these routes. However, schedules can be less frequent, especially outside the high season, so it is advisable to check the timetables in advance. This option is more suitable for those who prefer not to drive and are in no hurry to arrive, allowing them to enjoy the scenery without worries.

The Sand and Water

Praia da Torreira is characterized by its extensive stretch of fine, golden sand, which stretches for several kilometers, inviting long walks and relaxation under the sun. • Sunshades and Sun Loungers: In some areas, it is possible to rent sunshades and sun loungers, which is very convenient if we don't want to carry our own equipment.
