How to Get to Praia da Ingrina

Getting to Praia da Ingrina is part of the adventure and, at the same time, surprisingly simple, especially if we travel by car. From Faro Airport, which is the main entry point for most international visitors, the journey takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes, following the A22 motorway west and then taking the exit towards Vila do Bispo. The national road N125 is also an option, although slower and more picturesque, passing through various villages and rural landscapes of the Algarve.

Access and Parking

Once we approach the area, we will find clear signage to the beach. The road descending to the cove is narrow but paved, and leads directly to a parking area that, while not huge, usually has enough space outside of peak season hours. This parking is conveniently located right above the beach, which greatly facilitates access, especially for families with children or people with reduced mobility, although the final access to the sand involves a small ramp or stairs. We always recommend arriving early, especially during the summer months, to secure a good parking spot and to enjoy the beach at its quietest time. The car is, without a doubt, the most practical option for exploring this area of the Algarve, giving us the freedom to discover nearby coves and villages with ease.

Despite being a small cove, the sand is very well-maintained and clean, which contributes to the overall feeling of well-being.

The waters of Praia da Ingrina are extraordinarily calm, protected from the Atlantic currents and strong waves by the cliffs that flank it. On a sunny day, we can easily see the seabed, which invites snorkeling. This establishment not only offers us delicious dishes of fresh fish and local seafood, but it is also the nerve center of the beach. Here we can find clean and accessible Bathrooms/WCs for customers, which is essential for a prolonged stay. Furthermore, the restaurant usually offers umbrella and sunbed rentals, allowing us to enjoy shade and comfort without having to carry our own equipment. It's a luxury to be able to have lunch with sea views, or simply have a drink while watching the coming and going of the waves.

During the high season, the beach has lifeguards who watch over the safety of bathers, giving us extra peace of mind, especially when traveling with children. As mentioned, the parking is a plus, although it can fill up quickly in August. Other services, such as showers, are less common on beaches of this size and more natural character, so it's good to come prepared.
