How to get to Praia de Paramos

By car

If we choose the car, the A29 motorway is our best ally. We'll take the exit towards Paramos or Gulpilhares, and from there, the signage will guide us directly to the beach. The journey from the centre of Porto usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Around the beach, we find several parking areas, both free and paid, which facilitates access, especially during the high season. We recommend arriving early on busy days to secure a good spot.

By public transport

For those who prefer public transport, the most comfortable option is the train. The Porto to Aveiro train line has a station in Paramos, a short walk from the beach. The train journey from São Bento or Campanhã Station in Porto is picturesque and allows us to enjoy the coastal landscape. Furthermore, there are some bus lines connecting Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto with nearby coastal towns, although the train is usually the most direct and quickest option to get to Paramos beach.

Summer (June to September)

Undoubtedly, summer is the most popular time. During these months, the weather is warm and sunny, ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying all water activities. The days are long, and the beach is in full swing, with all services operational and a lively atmosphere. However, it is also the time of greatest influx, so if we are looking for absolute tranquility, we might prefer the early or late hours of the day.

Spring and autumn (April-May and October)

These months are perfect for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere and mild temperatures. The beach is still beautiful, ideal for long walks, photography, or surfing without the summer crowds. The water may be a little colder, but
