How to Get to Playa Mismaloya

Getting to Playa Mismaloya is easy, especially from Puerto Vallarta. We show you the options:

From Puerto Vallarta

• By bus: The most economical and picturesque option. Take the blue buses with the sign 'Mismaloya' or 'Boca de Tomatlán' from various stops, including the corner of Basilio Badillo and Constitución in the Romantic Zone. The journey takes approximately 25-35 minutes.
• By taxi or Uber/DiDi: For greater comfort and speed, a taxi or private transportation service will take you directly in 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. It's a good option if you're traveling in a group.
• By rental car: If you've opted to rent a car, Highway 200 south will take you directly to Mismaloya. Parking is available, although it can fill up during high season. We recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

From Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)

If you arrive directly at the airport, the best option is to take an authorized taxi or a private transportation service to Mismaloya. The journey will take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic in Puerto Vallarta.

The Sand and Water
