How to Get to Playa del Real de Zaragoza

Getting to Playa del Real de Zaragoza is relatively easy, especially if we travel by car. It is located in the eastern area of Marbella, between the urbanizations of Las Chapas and Elviria. We always recommend using a GPS navigator, which will guide us without problems to its vicinity.

By Car

From Marbella center, we will take the Mediterranean Highway A-7 towards Málaga. We must take exit 186 (Elviria/Las Chapas). Once off the highway, the signs will easily lead us to the beach area. There are several parking areas nearby, both free (though they tend to fill up quickly in high season) and paid, especially linked to the chiringuitos and hotel complexes that dot the coast. Our experience tells us that the earlier we arrive, the easier it will be to find a good spot to park.

By Bus

For those who prefer public transport, there are intercity bus lines connecting Marbella with the eastern areas. Line L-7 (Marbella-Calahonda) or L-6 (Marbella-Cabopino) usually have stops near the beach, although we may have to walk a few minutes from the nearest stop to the sand. It's a comfortable option if we don't want to worry about parking.

By Taxi or VTC

It's always a practical alternative, especially if we are staying in Marbella or a nearby urbanization. The journey is short and the cost reasonable, especially if we travel in a group.

The Sand and Water

What captivates us most about Playa del Real de Zaragoza is, without a doubt, its quality. The sand is fine and of a very pleasant golden tone, perfect for walking barefoot or for the little ones to build their sandcastles without difficulty. Its length, approximately 1800 meters, offers us ample space to lay our towel without feeling crowded by the proximity of other bathers, even on the busiest days.

The waters are another of its great attractions. They are crystal clear and, generally, very calm, with a gentle swell that makes them ideal for swimming. The entry into the sea is gradual, without sudden drops, which is a plus especially for families with young children. We always enjoy a good dip here, feeling the freshness of the Mediterranean and the cleanliness that has earned it the Blue Flag distinction on multiple occasions. It's a delight to swim in these waters, or simply float and be carried away by the calm of the surroundings.
