Its central location in the municipality of Llancà is a great advantage, as it allows us to arrive in various ways, adapting to our preferences.

By Car

For many of us, the car is the preferred means of transport for exploring the Costa Brava, and to get to Playa del Port, it's an excellent option. From Girona, the journey takes about an hour, following the AP-7 to the Figueres exit and then taking the C-260 and GI-612 towards Llancà. Once in the town, the beach is very well signposted. We found several parking areas nearby, both paid and some free options on adjacent streets, although in high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot, so we recommend arriving early.

By Public Transport

If we prefer public transport, it's also possible to get to Llancà. The town has a train station that is part of the Rodalies de Catalunya commuter line (line R11), connecting with Barcelona and Girona. Once at Llancà train station, Playa del Port is within walking distance, a pleasant 15-20 minute walk through the town. Furthermore, there are bus lines connecting Llancà with other nearby towns and with Figueres, which makes arrival even easier if we're coming from outside the region.

On Foot or by Bicycle

For those already staying in Llancà or its surroundings, the beach is perfectly accessible on foot or by bicycle. We really enjoy morning walks along the promenade, which leads us directly to the sand. The town's infrastructure is designed for pedestrians, with wide sidewalks and a quiet atmosphere that invites you to enjoy the journey. It's an excellent way to start the day, getting some exercise and breathing in the sea breeze before diving into the waters of Playa del Port.
