How to Get to Playa del Cura

Getting to Playa del Cura is relatively straightforward, which adds to its appeal. We always recommend exploring the different transport options to suit each traveler's needs.

By Car

If we opt for a car, the beach is conveniently located next to the GC-500 road, which connects the main tourist points in the south of Gran Canaria. From Gran Canaria Airport (Gando), the journey takes approximately 40-50 minutes, following the GC-1 southbound and then taking the exit towards Mogán/Puerto Rico. The signage is clear and access to the Playa del Cura area is direct. Regarding parking, the area has parking options, both around the hotel complexes and in some designated areas, although in high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot right by the beach. We always advise arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

The Global bus network (guaguas) offers regular connections to Playa del Cura. Lines 1 and 91, for example, connect Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the airport with the southern area, stopping at Playa del Cura. It is an economical and sustainable option, allowing you to enjoy the scenery without worrying about driving. The bus stops are a short distance from the beach, making access on foot easy.

By Taxi

For those who prefer comfort and speed, taxis are an excellent option from any point in the south of the island. The cost is higher than the bus, but the convenience of a door-to-door service can be a deciding factor, especially if we are traveling with a lot of luggage or with small children.

The Sand: A Dark and Soft Blanket
