How to get to Playa del Carabassí

Getting to Playa del Carabassí is relatively easy, although the main access to the dune area requires a small effort that is well worth it. Located between Arenales del Sol and Santa Pola, its location is strategic and well connected.

By car

The most comfortable and common option for most visitors is the car. From Elche, the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes. From Alicante city, it will take us about 15-20 minutes via the N-332 towards Santa Pola/Cartagena. Once in the area, you will find several parking areas, some free and others paid, especially in high season. We always recommend arriving early, especially in summer, to secure a good spot. Once parked, access to the beach is via wooden walkways that cross the dunes, protecting this valuable ecosystem.

By bus

If you prefer public transport, there are bus lines connecting Alicante and Elche with the Arenales del Sol and Gran Alacant area, which are very close to Playa del Carabassí. The Alicante urban bus line 21 (El Altet-Arenales del Sol) or the interurban lines from Elche will leave you a short walk from the access walkways. It is an ecological option that allows you to forget about the car for a day.

By bicycle
