How to Get to Playa de Terramar

Getting to Playa de Terramar is relatively straightforward, whether you come by car or opt for public transport. From Sitges center, you can enjoy a pleasant 20-30 minute walk along the promenade, an option we highly recommend for the views it offers. For those who prefer convenience, there are urban buses connecting Sitges train station and the town center with this more residential area.

If you're coming by car, access is easy from the C-31 or AP-7 highways. Once in Sitges, follow signs towards the Terramar area. Finding parking can be a challenge during high season, but there are regulated parking zones (blue zone) on nearby streets, and sometimes free options can be found a bit further away. Our recommendation is to arrive early, especially during the summer months, to secure a good spot and avoid stress. It's one of the most accessible Sitges beaches, which is a major plus.

The Sand and Water

We're talking about fine, golden sand, soft to the touch and perfect for building sandcastles with the little ones or simply for lying down and relaxing. Walking barefoot along its shore is a delight, one of those small things that make a beach day memorable. If hunger strikes, several Chiringuitos (beach bars) right on the beach offer refreshments, ice creams, and light meals, while nearby we find Restaurants with more elaborate options. Although Parking may be paid or require some searching, proximity to residential areas facilitates access. In summary, Terramar is one of those Sitges beaches that thinks of all our needs.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Playa de Terramar depends greatly on what we're looking for. If we yearn for the sun's warmth and the possibility of enjoying a long swim, the months of June, July, and August are ideal. During this period, the weather is warm and the sea is at its optimal temperature. However, it's also the busiest season, so the beach may be more crowded.

For those of us who prefer a calmer atmosphere and mild temperatures, the months of May, September, and early October are fantastic. The sun still shines strongly, but the number of people is lower, allowing us to enjoy the beach with more space and serenity. Even in spring or autumn, a walk along Terramar's shore is a revitalizing experience, although the water might be a bit cold for swimming. We would avoid the winter months if our main goal is swimming, although the beach never loses its charm for a walk.

Activities and Sports

Although Playa de Terramar is synonymous with relaxation, it also offers opportunities for various activities and sports, especially low-impact ones that complement its serene atmosphere. The main activity, of course, is swimming in its calm, crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimmers of all ages and levels.
