How to Get to St. Constantine and Helena Beach

Getting to St. Constantine and Helena Beach is relatively straightforward, as it has excellent connections, mainly through the nearby city of Varna. We always recommend planning the trip in advance to ensure the best experience.

By Plane

The most comfortable option for most international travelers is to fly into Varna Airport (VAR). This airport is the main entry point to Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast and receives flights from numerous European cities, especially during the peak summer season. Once at the airport, the beach is only about 15-20 kilometers away, meaning a quick and easy journey.

From the airport, we have several options to reach our destination:

• Taxi: This is the most direct and comfortable way. There is a taxi rank right outside the terminal. Make sure to agree on the price before getting in or that the meter is running. The journey usually takes about 20-30 minutes.
• Private transfer or shuttle: Many hotels in St. Constantine and Helena offer transfer services to and from the airport. You can also book a private shuttle in advance, which is ideal if traveling in a group or with a lot of luggage.
• Public transport: It is possible to take a bus from the airport to Varna's central station and, from there, another local bus to St. Constantine and Helena. Although it is the most economical option, it can be a bit more complicated if you are not familiar with the local transport system.

By Car

If you prefer the freedom to explore the region at your own pace, renting a car is an excellent option. St. Constantine and Helena Beach is very well connected by road. From Varna, the journey is short, about 15-20 minutes, following the main road north. The signage is clear and the road is easy to navigate. If coming from other cities in Bulgaria, the main roads are in good condition and GPS works without problems. In the resort, many hotels offer parking, and there are also public parking areas, although they can fill up quickly during the high season.

By Local Public Transport

From the center of Varna, there are regular city buses connecting the city with the St. Constantine and Helena resort. Bus lines 9, 109, and 409 are the most common for getting there. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic and the specific stop in the resort. It is a very economical option and allows us to immerse ourselves a bit more in local life.
