How to Get to Playa de Spathies

Generally, the main access is by car, as public transport does not go directly to this semi-hidden cove. From the main coastal road that runs along the Sithonia peninsula, you will find a small sign or, more often, a dirt road turnoff indicating the way. It is crucial to pay attention, as the turnoff can be easy to miss if you are not careful.

Once you take the turnoff, an unpaved dirt road, although passable for most vehicles, will guide you downhill through a dense pine forest. This journey, a few hundred meters long, already offers some preliminary views that anticipate the beauty to come. At the end of the road, you will find an improvised parking area among the trees, where visitors usually leave their cars. We advise arriving early, especially during the months of July and August, as space is limited and the beach gains popularity quickly. The final walk from the parking lot to the sand is short and easy, and each step will bring you closer to this paradisiacal corner of the Chalkidiki beaches.
