If you are already in Zadar, public transport is an excellent option. There are bus lines connecting the historic center with the Borik area, where the beach is located. We always recommend checking local timetables, but frequency is usually good during the high season. For those who prefer the comfort of their own vehicle, there is parking available near the beach, although it can fill up quickly on the busiest summer days. If you are staying in Borik, it is often possible to walk there, enjoying a pleasant stroll along the coast.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Soline is characterized mainly by its pebble surface, a common feature in many Croatian beaches. However, do not be misled by the word 'pebble'; here, the stones are generally small and rounded, making them quite comfortable for walking and lying down, especially with a towel or a sunbed. In some sections, you will find a mix of pebbles with concrete platforms, ideal for easy and safe access to the sea. We always advise wearing water shoes, as they make the experience much more pleasant, both for walking and for entering and exiting the water.

The best time to visit Playa de Soline and fully enjoy everything it offers, as well as Croatian beaches in general, is during the summer months, from June to September. During this period, the climate is warm and sunny, with air temperatures ranging between 25°C and 32°C, and the sea temperature is ideal for swimming, exceeding 22°C. It is the high season, which means the beach will be more crowded and the atmosphere more lively, with all services operating at full capacity.

If you prefer to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more tranquil atmosphere, but with still very pleasant weather, we recommend visiting Soline during the shoulder season, that is, in late May or early June, and during September. In these months, the sun is still generous, the sea is warm, and accommodation and flight prices are usually more attractive. Playa de Soline is beautiful at any time, but for a complete beach experience, summer is unbeatable.
