How to Get to Playa de Santa María del Mar

If you're coming from outside the city, the best option is to access via the A-4 or A-48 motorway. Once in Cádiz, the beach is located in the most modern area of the city, right on the promenade.

By Car

There are underground car parks on the promenade itself and regulated parking zones (blue zone) on adjacent streets. Our recommendation is to look for one of the underground car parks if you plan to spend the whole day, as you'll secure a spot and avoid fines. From the Cádiz train or bus station, the drive is just 5-10 minutes.

By Public Transport

Cádiz has an excellent public transport network. Several urban bus lines have stops very close to the beach, such as lines 1, 5, or 7. They are a comfortable and economical option if you're staying in the historic center of Cádiz or other parts of the city. Furthermore, the train station and the bus station are a short distance away, so if you arrive by train or intercity bus, you can take an urban bus or a taxi that will drop you off on the sand of Playa de Santa María del Mar in a matter of minutes.
