How to Get to Playa de San Román

Getting to Playa de San Román is relatively easy, and the route is already part of the Galician experience. If we come from the south, via the A-8, we'll need to turn off towards the coast in the direction of O Vicedo. The N-642 road is the main artery running through the Mariña Lucense and will leave us very close to our destination. Once in the municipality of O Vicedo, the signs to the beach are usually well marked, taking us along local roads that wind through green landscapes and small villages.

Access and Parking

We always value ease of access, and at Playa de San Román we found a plus. It has a fairly large parking area close to the sand, which greatly facilitates arrival, especially if we're traveling with children or a lot of luggage. Access to the sand from the parking lot is comfortable, with a well-maintained path that leads us directly to the heart of the beach. Although there is no direct public transport to the sand, its proximity to the center of O Vicedo allows those staying there to arrive with a pleasant walk or by bicycle.

The Sand and the Water
