How to Get to Playa de Rajska (Paraíso)

Getting to Playa de Rajska (Paraíso), located at the northern tip of the island of Rab, requires a short journey that, however, is part of the adventure and disconnection. The island of Rab is excellently connected to the Croatian mainland, mainly through ferry services. We recommend planning your trip in advance, especially during the peak summer season.

By Ferry

The most common way to access the island of Rab is by ferry. There are two main routes:

• Stinica (mainland) to Mišnjak (Rab): This is the most frequent and direct route. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes and ferries operate very regularly, especially in summer. Once in Mišnjak, you need to drive about 25-30 kilometers to Lopar, where Playa de Rajska (Paraíso) is located. The road is scenic and easy to follow.
• Valbiska (island of Krk) to Lopar (Rab): This option is ideal if you are coming from northern Croatia or if you are already exploring the island of Krk. This ferry will drop you off directly in Lopar, just minutes from the beach. The journey is longer, about 1.5 hours, but offers spectacular views of the Adriatic.

By Car

Once on the island of Rab, the car is the most convenient means of transport to reach Playa de Rajska (Paraíso). From Rab Town (the island's capital), the drive to Lopar is approximately 12-15 kilometers and is well signposted. There are extensive paid Parking areas near the beach, which is a great advantage given the place's popularity. We always advise arriving early to secure a good spot, especially in July and August.

By Bus or Taxi

For those who prefer not to drive, there are regular bus services connecting Rab Town with Lopar. You can also opt for a taxi, which will offer greater comfort and flexibility. From the port of Lopar, the beach is within easy walking distance, making access easy for those arriving directly by sea.

What impresses us most and makes it ideal for families is its shallowness. We can walk dozens of meters out to sea and the water will barely cover our knees. This feature not only makes it incredibly safe for young children, who can splash and play without worry, but also allows the water to warm up quickly, offering a very pleasant temperature for much of the year.
