How to Get to Playa de Pounda

Getting to Playa de Pounda is relatively easy, given its popularity and Paros's good infrastructure. We recommend planning transportation according to your preferences and starting point on the island.

From Parikia (the capital)

• Bus: It's one of the most comfortable and economical options. From the Parikia bus station, there are frequent routes connecting to Pounda. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes and the buses are usually well-equipped. During high season, the frequency is high, which makes visiting very easy. We always check the updated schedules, as they can vary slightly.
• Taxi: For greater comfort, especially if traveling in a group or with luggage, a taxi is an excellent option. The trip from Parikia to Playa de Pounda beach will take about 15-20 minutes. It's a bit more expensive than the bus, but offers the flexibility of going directly to your destination without stops.
• Car/motorcycle rental: If you prefer the freedom to explore the island at your own pace, renting a car or motorcycle is ideal. The road is well-signposted and the journey is pleasant. There is parking available at the beach, although it can fill up quickly during peak hours in high season. We always advise booking in advance, especially if you visit in July or August.

From Naoussa

• Bus: From Naoussa there are also bus connections, although they often require a transfer in Parikia or a longer route. It's feasible, but can take more time. Make sure to check for direct routes if available or be prepared for the connection.
• Taxi: A taxi from Naoussa to Pounda is a more direct and faster option, with a travel time similar to that from Parikia, perhaps a bit longer depending on the exact location in Naoussa.
• Car/motorcycle rental: Again, the most flexible option. The distance is similar to that from Parikia, and the roads are generally good. You can enjoy the scenery while heading to the most lively Paros beach.
