How to Get to Playa de Mirleft

Getting to Playa de Mirleft is part of the adventure and, although it requires a bit of planning, the journey is rewarding. The most common way for international travelers is to fly to Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGA), located approximately 130 kilometers north of Mirleft. From there, we have several options to continue our journey to this idyllic coastal destination.

From Agadir Airport

Once in Agadir, the most comfortable and fastest option is to rent a car. This gives us the freedom to explore the surroundings of Mirleft at our own pace and discover hidden coves and landscapes. The road trip from Agadir to Mirleft usually takes about two hours, following the N1 highway that runs along the coast. The route is straightforward and well-signposted, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic as we approach our destination.

Another alternative is to take a 'grand taxi' (shared taxi) from Agadir. These taxis usually have fixed routes and are an economical way to travel around Morocco. We can take one to Tiznit, the provincial capital, and from there another 'grand taxi' or a local taxi to Mirleft. The cost is significantly lower than a private taxi, but it may involve waiting until the vehicle is full. Tiznit is about 45-50 kilometers from Mirleft, which means an additional journey of about 40-50 minutes.

Finally, the most economical option is the bus. From Agadir, there are regular buses that reach Tiznit. Once at the Tiznit bus station, we will have to look for another bus or a 'grand taxi' bound for Mirleft. This option is ideal for budget travelers with plenty of time, as the journey can be longer and involve more transfers. Regardless of how we choose to get there, the reward of stepping onto Playa de Mirleft is well worth the travel effort.

The Sand and Water

As we venture onto Playa de Mirleft, the first thing that captivates us is the quality of its sand. Here, the sand is predominantly fine and of a golden hue that shines under the Moroccan sun.
