How to Get to Playa de Matalascañas

Getting to Playa de Matalascañas is relatively straightforward, although the most comfortable way is usually by car, especially if we are coming from outside the province. From the city of Huelva, we take the A-49 towards Sevilla and then turn off onto the A-483 towards Almonte and, finally, Matalascañas. The journey takes approximately one hour, depending on traffic. From Sevilla, the route is similar, taking the A-49 towards Huelva and then the A-483, with a duration of about 60-75 minutes.

By Car

• From Huelva/Sevilla: Main access via the A-483. The road is in good condition and leads us directly to the urban center of Matalascañas. Once there, we will find various parking areas, both paid and free, although in high season it can be a challenge to find a spot near the beach. We advise arriving early or considering the more distant parking lots, which are usually connected to the center by local public transport.

By Bus

• During the summer season, there are bus lines connecting Matalascañas with Huelva and Sevilla, making stops in nearby towns like El Rocío or Almonte. It is a comfortable option if we prefer not to drive or if we are coming from these cities without our own vehicle. The bus station is centrally located, facilitating access to the beach and accommodations.

The Sand and Water
