How to Get to Playa de Masbó

Getting to Playa de Masbó is relatively easy, as Moncofa has good connections. If we come by car, the AP-7 motorway (exit 49, Nules/Moncofa) or the national road N-340 will take us directly to the municipality. Once in Moncofa, the beach is well signposted and easy to locate.

By Car

We always recommend the car for greater flexibility, especially if we plan to explore the surroundings. There are parking areas near the beach, some of them free, which facilitates access even in high season, although on the busiest days it may be necessary to search a bit more. Most accommodations in Moncofa also offer parking, which is a plus.

Public Transport

Although public transport is not as direct as in big cities, Moncofa has bus lines connecting it to nearby towns and the Nules-La Vilavella train station, from where we can take local trains to Valencia or Castellón de la Plana. From the bus station or the town center, the beach is a comfortable walking distance or a short taxi ride away.

The Sand and Water

What strikes us most about Playa de Masbó is its particular combination of sand. We find ourselves with 'fine' sand but with a dark, almost grayish tone, which gives it a unique character. This sand, sometimes mixed with small gravel, is very pleasant to the touch and doesn't stick as much as other lighter sands. It's a delight to walk barefoot along its shore, feeling the texture under our feet.

The waters of Masbó are, in general, calm and shallow in the first few meters, making it a safe and very attractive place for families with children.
