How to Get to Playa de Los Quebrantos

Getting to Playa de Los Quebrantos is relatively easy, which contributes to its popularity. If you're coming from the center of Asturias, the A-8 highway (Autovía del Cantábrico) is the main route. You should take the exit towards Soto del Barco/San Juan de la Arena. Once on the detour, the signs will guide you directly to the coast and the beach access. The signage is clear and will lead you without problems to the ample parking available nearby.

For those who prefer public transport, there are bus lines connecting Soto del Barco with other Asturian towns, although the final access to the beach from the town center might require a short walk or a taxi, especially if you're carrying luggage. We always recommend a car for greater comfort, as it will also allow you to explore the charming surroundings without restrictions. The parking is spacious, which greatly facilitates arrival even on the busiest days during the high season.

The Sand and Water

Playa de Los Quebrantos is characterized by its fine, golden sand, which is a delight underfoot and perfect for laying out a towel and enjoying the sun. The expanse of the sandy area is impressive, allowing that, even on the busiest days, there is always enough space for everyone, avoiding the feeling of overcrowding sometimes experienced on other smaller beaches. • Summer (June to September): It is, without a doubt, the busiest time. The sun shines, temperatures are pleasant, and all beach services are operational. It's the ideal time for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the summer atmosphere. However, it's also when the beach is most crowded.
• Spring and Autumn (April-May and September-October): For us, these are the perfect seasons if you seek tranquility and to enjoy nature in its purest state. Temperatures are milder, the beach is less crowded, and it's magnificent for long walks, surfing, or simply relaxing to the sound of the waves. The light during these seasons is spectacular for photography enthusiasts.
