By Car

If we are coming from the city of Almería, the most common route is to take the A-7 motorway towards Murcia and then turn off at exit 520 onto the N-340a, which will take us directly to Carboneras. The journey takes approximately 45-50 minutes. From other nearby towns like Mojácar or Garrucha, access is even quicker via the AL-5107 or A-1203, respectively. Once in Carboneras, Playa de los Barquicos is signposted and is located next to the promenade. We always find parking on the adjacent streets or in the designated areas in the town itself, although in high season it may require a bit more patience.

On Foot

For those staying in Carboneras, getting to the beach is a pleasant walk. The beach stretches along the promenade, so it's just a few minutes' walk from any point in the town center to step onto its sand. It's an invaluable advantage to be able to leave the car and enjoy a quiet stroll to the shore.

The Sand and Water
