Getting to Playa de Levante in Almerimar is surprisingly simple, making it even more attractive for a getaway. If we come by car, the A-7 highway is our best ally. We'll take the exit towards El Ejido/Almerimar and, once on the local road, signs will guide us without problems to this charming tourist hub. The road infrastructure in Almeria is excellent, which greatly facilitates access from anywhere in the province or even from outside.

Once in Almerimar, finding parking is usually quite feasible, especially outside the high season. There are free parking areas around the promenade and the port, although in mid-August we might have to circle around a bit more. For those who prefer public transport, there are bus lines connecting Almerimar with El Ejido, and from there, with other towns in the province. It's a comfortable option if we want to forget about the car completely. We always recommend checking updated schedules, but in general, connectivity is good.

The sand and water

Playa de Levante (Almerimar) welcomes us with fine sand of a characteristic dark tone, giving it a very particular and distinctive appearance. This sand, soft to the touch, is perfect for walking barefoot or for children to build their sandcastles.
