How to Get to Playa de les Tonyines

Getting to Playa de les Tonyines is, fortunately, quite straightforward, which adds an extra level of comfort to our visit. Llancà is a well-connected municipality on the Costa Brava, and the beach is located in a central and accessible spot within the town.

By Car

If we come by car, the most common route is to take the AP-7 to the Figueres exit, and from there follow the signs towards Roses and then towards Llancà via the C-260 and the N-260. Once in Llancà, the beach is clearly signposted. Being an urban beach, we usually find several parking options nearby. There are regulated parking zones (blue zone) and, at times, public paid parking lots which, although they can be busier during high season, usually have spaces available. Our recommendation is to arrive early, especially in July and August, to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

Llancà has a train station, which facilitates access from other cities in Girona and Barcelona. From Llancà train station, Playa de les Tonyines is a reasonable distance away, which we can cover on foot in about 15-20 minutes, enjoying a pleasant walk through the town. There are also bus services connecting Llancà with other nearby towns, which can be a practical option if we are exploring the area without our own vehicle. It's a sustainable and relaxed way to arrive, allowing us to admire the landscape without worrying about parking.

On Foot or by Bicycle

If we are already staying in Llancà or one of the neighboring towns, getting to Playa de les Tonyines on foot or by bicycle is an excellent option. The beach is integrated into the town's promenade, making it very accessible from any point in Llancà. Furthermore, the area has routes and paths that invite exploration of the coast, so we can combine our beach day with a bit of exercise and spectacular views.

The Sand and Water
