How to Get to Playa de las Gaviotas

By Car

For us, the car is the most comfortable and practical option to get to Playa de las Gaviotas. After passing Las Teresitas, we continue along the road for a few more kilometers. We will see signs, although discreet, indicating the turnoff to the beach. The parking is not a formal, organized lot, but rather a series of informal spaces along the road and in its vicinity, which can sometimes make finding a spot difficult on very busy days. It is important to park with caution and respect the signs, as the road is narrow and we want to avoid any incidents. The walk from the parking area to the sand is short and simple, allowing us to admire the views before reaching our destination.

By Public Transport

Although less direct than by car, it is possible to get near the beach using public transport. The Titsa bus line (guagua) heading to San Andrés and Las Teresitas will drop us off nearby. However, from the last bus stop in Las Teresitas or San Andrés, we will still have a considerable walk or the option of taking a taxi. We always recommend checking bus schedules in advance, especially if we plan to spend the whole day at the beach, to ensure a hassle-free return.

The water temperature is typical of the beaches of Tenerife, pleasant for most of the year, allowing refreshing swims even in winter.

Playa de las Gaviotas is distinguished by its wild nature and lesser development compared to other more touristy beaches on the island.
