By car

The most comfortable option for many is by car. From Marbella center, simply take the A-7 (Mediterranean Highway) towards Malaga and take the exit indicating 'Las Chapas' or 'Elviria'. The beach is well signposted once you leave the highway. We always recommend using a GPS navigator for greater accuracy, but in general, it's a direct and easy journey. There are several parking areas nearby, some free and others paid, especially in high season, so plan ahead.

By public transport

For those who prefer public transport, there are interurban bus lines connecting Marbella with areas further east, including stops near Las Chapas. The L-7 line (Marbella-Calahonda) or the L-6 line (Marbella-Cabopino) are usually good options. It is advisable to check the exact timetables and stops on the website of the Malaga Area Metropolitan Transport Consortium or the local transport app. Although they won't drop you right on the sand, the stops are usually within walking distance.
