How to Get to Playa de las Arenas

By Car

From Vallehermoso, the municipality to which this beach belongs, we must take the GM-1 road towards Alojera. The journey is winding and gifts us with spectacular views of the island's valleys and ravines, so we recommend driving calmly and enjoying the landscape. Approximately a few kilometers from Vallehermoso, you'll find signs indicating access to the beach. It's important to pay attention, as they are not excessively large.

Once we leave the main road, we enter a track that, although mostly paved, may have rougher sections. It's a path that descends towards the coast, offering increasingly impressive panoramic views. The parking is not a formal, signposted car park, but rather an area where vehicles can park informally at the end of the track, before starting the descent on foot. Our advice is to arrive early, especially in high season or on weekends, to secure a good spot and avoid complicated maneuvers.

On Foot

From the parking area, a short but steep path that descends to the beach awaits us. This path, although not excessively long (about 10-15 minutes), requires appropriate footwear and some caution, especially if it has rained recently. It is not suitable for baby strollers or people with reduced mobility, which helps maintain the wild and uncrowded character of the beach. The reward, however, is immense: at the end of the path, the view of Playa de las Arenas opens before us, revealing its volcanic majesty and the promise of peace and tranquility we were seeking. Remember to bring everything you need with you, as you won't find services once on the sand.
