How to Get to Playa de La Rumina

If we come by car, the A-7 motorway is the main route to reach Mojacar from anywhere in Spain. Once at the turnoff towards Mojacar, we follow the signs to Mojacar Playa and, within minutes, we'll be in the coastal area.

For us, the car is the most comfortable option to reach this beach in Mojacar. There are various streets adjacent to the beach where parking can be found, especially outside the high season. During the summer months, like July and August, the influx of visitors increases considerably, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. Fortunately, the urban layout of Mojacar Playa means that, even if we park some distance away, the walk to the shore is pleasant and short.

Public Transport

Mojacar has an urban bus service connecting the picturesque Mojacar Pueblo with the entire stretch of Mojacar Playa. Several stops are very close to Playa de La Rumina, facilitating access for those who prefer to leave the car at their accommodation or don't have their own vehicle. As for the gastronomic offerings, the beach has chiringuitos right on the sand where we can enjoy a refreshing drink, an ice cream, or even a light meal with sea views. These establishments are often complemented by restaurants in the vicinity, offering a wider variety of dishes and atmospheres, from local cuisine to international options.
