How to Get to Playa de la Nova Icària

Getting to Playa de la Nova Icària is extremely easy, thanks to Barcelona's excellent public transport network. We always recommend using it to avoid parking complications.

By Metro

The most comfortable and fastest option is usually the metro. The closest stations are:

• Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica (Line 4, yellow): Just a 10-15 minute walk. It's a very pleasant route that goes through part of the Vila Olímpica.
• Bogatell (Line 4, yellow): Also about a 10-15 minute walk, offering a different perspective of the neighborhood.

By Bus

Several bus lines have stops near the beach, making access easy from different parts of the city. Some of the lines you can use are V27, V21, H16, and 59, among others. Always check the updated routes for your starting point.

By Tram

The TRAM is also an excellent alternative. The Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica stop (lines T4 and T5) will leave you at a comfortable distance to reach the sand.

By Car

If you prefer to come by car, you'll find several paid parking lots nearby, especially in the Port Olímpic and Vila Olímpica area. However, in high season, they can be quite busy and somewhat expensive. Our advice is to arrive early if you choose this option.

By Bicycle or on Foot

Barcelona is a fantastic city to explore by bicycle, and Playa de la Nova Icària is perfectly connected by bike lanes along the entire coastline. Strolling along the promenade is a delight and an unbeatable way to arrive, enjoying the views.
