How to Get to Playa de la Farella

Getting to Playa de la Farella is relatively straightforward, which adds to its appeal. If coming from inland or other coastal towns, the main route is usually the C-260 to Figueres, and then the GI-612 which takes us directly to Llancà. Once in the municipality, the signage to the beaches is clear, and Farella, being one of the most well-known beaches, is well indicated.

Access and Parking

Access to the beach is comfortable, right by the street in most points. Regarding parking, we find several Parking areas nearby. It's true that during the peak season months (July and August), it can be a challenge to find a spot, as the influx of visitors is considerable. Our recommendation is to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot, or opt to park a bit further away and enjoy a pleasant walk to the cove. There are always options for regulated parking or blue zones that facilitate the search, albeit with an associated cost. The proximity to the urban center of Llancà also allows many visitors to arrive on foot or by bicycle, which is an excellent way to enjoy the surroundings and avoid parking problems.

The Sand and Water

Playa de la Farella welcomes us with a peculiarity that distinguishes it from other Girona beaches: its `sand_type` is `mixed`. This means we won't only find golden, somewhat coarse sand, but also small stones and pebbles polished by the sea.
