How to Get to Playa de la Entrevista

Getting to Playa de la Entrevista is relatively easy, although we always recommend good planning to enjoy the journey without setbacks. The beach is located on the coast of Pulpí, very close to the border with the Region of Murcia, making it accessible from both the city of Almería and Murcian cities like Águilas or Lorca.

By Car

Undoubtedly, the most comfortable and recommended option to get to Playa de la Entrevista is by private car. From the city of Almería, the journey is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes (about 120 km) via the Mediterranean Highway (A-7) towards Murcia, taking exit 563 towards San Juan de los Terreros/Pulpí. Once in the San Juan de los Terreros area, the beach is well signposted. If you're coming from Murcia, access is even more direct. From Águilas, the trip is just 15-20 minutes via the AP-7 or the N-332. GPS will guide you without problems to the vicinity of the beach.

Parking

Regarding parking, Playa de la Entrevista has nearby parking areas, generally unpaved but spacious. In high season, these areas can fill up, so we advise arriving early, especially on weekends in July and August. We always prefer to get up a bit early to secure a good spot and enjoy the first hours of the morning, which are usually the most tranquil and pleasant.

Public Transport

Public transport is a more limited option for getting directly to Playa de la Entrevista. There are bus lines connecting Pulpí and San Juan de los Terreros with other towns, but they usually drop you off some distance from the beach, requiring a taxi or a good walk afterwards. If your intention is to get around without a car, it might be better to consider staying in San Juan de los Terreros and from there, if the distance allows, walk or cycle to the beach, or use local taxis for specific trips. However, for a complete and flexible experience, the car is our indispensable ally.

We recommend bringing flip-flops or water shoes, especially if you're sensitive to textures underfoot or if you plan to explore the nearby rocky areas. The advantage of this sand is that it doesn't stick to the skin as much as ultra-fine sand, making cleanup easier at the end of the day.

But if the sand has its charm, the water at Playa de la Entrevista is, without a doubt, its greatest attraction. Its waters are famous for being exceptionally clean and crystal-clear. Underwater visibility is fantastic, making it an ideal place for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. We have spent hours exploring its seabeds, teeming with life and with surprising biological richness. The water's hue ranges from turquoise blue in the shallower areas to a deeper blue as you go further out, creating a spectacular visual contrast.

Furthermore, the waters of Playa de la Entrevista are usually calm, protected to some extent by its orientation and the absence of strong currents. This makes it very safe for swimming, even for the youngest family members. The water temperature, typical of the Mediterranean, is pleasant during the summer months, inviting long dips and enjoying each moment without rush.
