By Car

If you are coming by car, the most common way to get there, you have several options. From Santander or from inland, the Cantabrian Motorway (A-8) is the main route. You should take the exit towards Suances (exit 224 if coming from the east, or 228 if coming from the west) and follow the signs that will lead you directly to the center of the municipality and, from there, to the beach area. The N-611 road is also an alternative if you are coming from Torrelavega or the south of Cantabria. Once in Suances, the signage to the beaches is clear. There are several parking areas near the beach, both paid and free, although in high season they can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. Some of the parking lots are just a few meters from the sand, which makes unloading beach gear much easier.
