How to get to Playa de la Chullera

The beach is located at the western end of the Costa del Sol, near the border with the province of Cadiz, making it accessible from various points in Andalusia.

By car

For most visitors, the car is the most comfortable and practical option. From Malaga city, the journey takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes, following the A-7 motorway towards Algeciras. You should take exit 138 (Manilva/Sabinillas) and, once on the local road, follow the signs to the beach. If you are coming from Gibraltar or Algeciras, the journey is even shorter, also via the A-7, taking the exit corresponding to Manilva. There are parking areas nearby, some free and others paid, specially set up during the summer season. We advise arriving early, especially in July and August, to secure a good spot. The access road is good, which facilitates the journey and allows you to enjoy the coastal landscape as you approach your destination.

By public transport

Public transport offers more limited options, but it is possible to get there. From cities like Malaga or Estepona, you can take an intercity bus to Sabinillas or Manilva. Once there, Playa de la Chullera is a few kilometres away, so you will need to take a taxi or, if you feel energetic, take a pleasant walk. During the summer, there are sometimes local bus services connecting the main towns of Manilva with the beaches, although their frequency can be variable.
