How to Get to Playa de l'Estany

Getting to Playa de l'Estany is relatively easy, and its accessibility makes it a comfortable destination for most travelers. We always recommend planning the route in advance, but don't worry, we'll guide you step by step.

By Car

For many, the car is the most convenient option, as it allows freedom of movement and the possibility to explore the surroundings of Cullera. If you're coming from Valencia city, the most direct route is to take the AP-7 towards Alicante and then exit 59 towards Sueca/Cullera. From there, follow the signs to Cullera and, once in the municipality, head towards the southern area, following the coast. The beach is well signposted and has nearby parking areas, although they can fill up quickly during high season. Another option is the N-332, which runs along the coast and offers charming landscapes, although it can be slower.

By Public Transport

If you prefer public transport, the most viable option is the train. From Valencia, you can take the C-1 line of the Renfe Cercanías to Cullera station. The journey is comfortable and relatively short, about 30-40 minutes. Once at Cullera station, Playa de l'Estany is a few kilometers away. You can take a taxi or use the Cullera urban bus service, which connects the station with the different beaches and areas of the municipality. The days are long and sunny, the water temperatures are perfect for a refreshing dip, and all the chiringuitos, lifeguards, and umbrella and sun lounger rental services are fully operational. However, it's also the time of greatest influx. Although Playa de l'Estany is quieter than other beaches in Cullera, you may find more people, especially on weekends. If you're looking for the most vibrant beach atmosphere, summer is your choice.

Spring (April, May) and Autumn (September, October)

For us, spring and autumn are perhaps the most rewarding times to visit Playa de l'Estany if you seek tranquility and a deeper connection with nature. The temperatures are still very pleasant, often perfect for walking along the shore, enjoying a picnic, or even taking a swim if the day allows. The sun is not as intense as in summer, allowing for long days outdoors without feeling overwhelmed. The number of people is considerably lower, allowing you to enjoy the beach almost exclusively.
