How to Get to Playa de Ibersol

Getting to Playa de Ibersol is surprisingly easy, making it a very accessible destination for everyone. We always value ease of access, and Vilanova i la Geltrú delivers in spades.

By Car

If we choose to drive, Playa de Ibersol is very well connected via the C-31 or C-32 (toll highway) from Barcelona or Tarragona. Once in Vilanova, the signs to the promenade and beaches are clear. Regarding parking, we found several options. There are regulated parking zones (blue zone) along the promenade, although in high season it can be a challenge to find a free spot, especially during the middle of the day. Our recommendation is to arrive early to secure a good spot, or consider the underground parking lots in the city center, which usually have availability and are a reasonable walking distance from the beach. Don't forget your parking app to pay conveniently.

By Public Transport

For those who prefer public transport, Vilanova i la Geltrú has a train station (Rodalies de Catalunya R2 Sud) that connects it directly to Barcelona, the airport, and other coastal towns. From the train station, Playa de Ibersol is about a 15-20 minute walk, a pleasant stroll through the city center or along the harbor. There are also urban bus lines connecting the station to the beach area, making access even easier if we don't want to walk. We often choose the train to avoid parking stress, and the journey offers beautiful views of the coast.
