How to get to Playa de Es Pujols

Getting to Playa de Es Pujols is part of the adventure and, at the same time, surprisingly simple once we are in Formentera. The island, lacking an airport, is reached exclusively by sea. The most common way is to fly to Ibiza and, from there, take a ferry that will take us directly to the port of La Savina in Formentera. Several companies operate the Ibiza-Formentera route very frequently, especially in high season, giving us flexibility to choose the schedule that best suits us.

Once in La Savina, we have several options to get to Es Pujols, which is about 5 kilometers away. Es Pujols is, in fact, one of the most important urban centers on the island, so access is very good:

• Vehicle rental: This is the most popular option and the one we recommend for exploring the entire island at our own pace. We can rent motorcycles, cars, or even electric bicycles directly at the port or in Es Pujols. The road connecting La Savina with Es Pujols is direct and well signposted.
• Public bus: There is a regular bus line connecting La Savina with Es Pujols and other points of interest on the island. It is an economical and comfortable option, although it gives us less freedom of movement.
• Taxi: Taxis are always available at the port and will take us to Es Pujols in a few minutes. It's a good option if we are traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer comfort without worrying about parking.
