How to Get to Playa de Canet

Getting to Playa de Canet is relatively easy, making it a very accessible destination from different points in Catalonia, especially from Barcelona. By Car

If we choose the car, the most direct route from Barcelona is to take the C-32 motorway towards Girona/Mataró and exit at exit 111 (Canet de Mar). Alternatively, we can follow the N-II, a coastal road that offers panoramic views, although it can be slower in high season. Once in Canet de Mar, the beach is very easy to locate, as it stretches along the entire municipality. Regarding parking, Canet de Mar has several parking zones, both paid and free, in the vicinity of the beach and the promenade. We usually look for the streets adjacent to the center or the designated parking areas, which, although they may fill up in the middle of summer, always offer some option if we arrive early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The ease of parking is a plus for those traveling by private vehicle.

By Train

The train is, without a doubt, one of the most comfortable and sustainable options for reaching Playa de Canet in Canet de Mar. The R1 line of Rodalies de Catalunya (Commuter Rail) connects us directly from the center of Barcelona (Estació de França, Plaça de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, El Clot-Aragó) to Canet de Mar station.
