How to Get to Playa de Calabonita

Getting to Playa de Calabonita is a simple part of the adventure, especially if we are already in the city of Alhucemas. This charming cove is located a few kilometers east of the urban center, making it very accessible.

If we travel by car, the route is direct and scenic. From the heart of Alhucemas, we will take the coastal road heading east. The signage, although sometimes discreet, will guide us to the area. The drive usually takes just 10 or 15 minutes, offering us spectacular views of the Mediterranean as we approach. It is important to consider that, as it is a beach popular with locals, especially on weekends and during the peak summer season, parking can be a challenge. Generally, we will find designated parking areas near the beach, although sometimes we may have to leave the car on the roadside or in designated areas a bit further away and walk a short distance. The advantage is that the walk is usually pleasant, allowing us to enjoy the surroundings even more.

For those who prefer not to drive, a taxi is an excellent and very comfortable option. In Alhucemas, 'petits taxis' (small taxis) are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.
