For us, the most comfortable option to get to Playa de Cala Rovellada is, without a doubt, the car. From Colera, the journey is short and will allow you to enjoy the coastal views. You should follow the signs towards the port area and, once there, look for parking. The cove does not have an exclusive and direct parking lot on the sand, but you will find areas to park on the streets near the port of Colera or in the town itself. From there, it is a pleasant walk of a few minutes to the cove. Remember that in high season, parking can be more limited, so we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

If you prefer public transport, Colera has a train station. From the station, Playa de Cala Rovellada is accessible on foot. It is a walk that, although it may take about 15-20 minutes, is very pleasant and offers beautiful views of the town and the sea. For those who enjoy walking and soaking up the local atmosphere, this is an excellent option. There are also bus services connecting Colera with other nearby municipalities, but the frequency may be lower, especially outside the summer season.

On Foot and by Bicycle

For the more active, getting there on foot or by bicycle from the center of Colera is a delight. The path is beautiful and will allow you to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings without rush. It is part of the famous Caminos de Ronda (GR-92) that run along the Costa Brava, so if you are hiking enthusiasts, you can integrate the visit to the cove into a longer route. However, parking is accessible in the vicinity, in the town of Colera itself or on the streets descending towards the port, at a comfortable walking distance from the cove. This greatly facilitates access for those traveling by car.

Since the cove is quite natural, we always recommend our visitors to come well-equipped. Make sure to bring your own food and drink, a sun umbrella for protection, towels, and everything you might need to spend a comfortable day.
