From Spain or any other international point, the first step is usually to fly to Athens or a larger Greek island with an international airport, such as Rhodes or Kos, and from there take a domestic flight or a ferry.

• Flight to Leros: The island has Leros National Airport (LGS), which receives domestic flights from Athens with Aegean Airlines or Olympic Air. This is the fastest option to reach the island.
• Ferry to Leros: A popular and picturesque alternative is the ferry. We can take a ferry from the port of Piraeus in Athens, a journey that can take between 8 and 10 hours, depending on the type of ship and stops. There are also regular ferry and high-speed catamaran connections with other Dodecanese islands, such as Rhodes, Kos, Patmos, and Kalymnos, making it easy to combine a visit to Leros with a tour of other islands.

From Leros Port or Airport to Blefoutis

Once in Leros, whether at the port of Agia Marina or Lakki, or at the airport, Playa de Blefoutis is located in the north of the island. The transportation options are as follows:

• Rental car or motorbike: This is, without a doubt, the option we most recommend. Renting a car or motorbike gives us the freedom to explore Leros at our own pace, discovering hidden coves and charming villages. The road to Blefoutis is well signposted and the journey from Agia Marina or Lakki is relatively short and picturesque, about 15-20 minutes.
