How to Get to Playa de Bijeca

Getting to Playa de Bijeca is quite straightforward, given its popularity and excellent location in Medulin, a well-known tourist center in southern Istria. We always recommend planning the trip in advance, especially if visiting during the high season.

By Car

If traveling by car, the beach is very well signposted from any point in Medulin. We can easily access Medulin from Pula, the largest city in Istria, which is about 10 kilometers away. The road is modern and the journey is short and pleasant. Once in Medulin, signs will guide us directly to the Bijeca area. It's important to know that the beach has several parking areas, both paid and some free options in the surroundings, although the latter tend to fill up quickly in summer. We usually arrive early to secure a good spot.

By Public Transport

From Pula, there are regular bus lines connecting to Medulin. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes and is an economical and practical option if we don't have our own vehicle. Once in Medulin, we can walk to the beach, which is a reasonable distance from the town center, or take a local taxi.

By Plane

The nearest airport is Pula Airport (PUY), which receives flights from several European cities, especially during the summer season. From the airport, we can rent a car, take a taxi, or use public transport or shuttle services connecting to Medulin. It's a very convenient option for those coming from farther away and wanting to enjoy the beaches of Istria without complications.

The feature that defines and distinguishes Playa de Bijeca from many others in Croatia is, without a doubt, its fine, golden sand.
