From Syvota by Car and on Foot

If we come by car, we must head south from Syvota, following the signs towards the Mourtemeno area or the Hotel Sivota Diamond Spa Resort. There is parking available near the hotels or in designated areas before the entrance to the beach, although it is not an official beach parking lot and can be limited during high season. From where we park the car, we will have to continue on foot. The path leads us along a tree-lined trail, usually well signposted, that gently descends towards the coast. It is a pleasant walk of about 10-15 minutes, through Mediterranean vegetation that prepares us for the beauty that awaits. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for this part of the journey.

The On-Foot Crossing Through the Water

Once we reach the point where the mainland of Syvota meets the Mourtemeno islet, we will see the famous connection. It is here that the true magic of Bella Vraka is revealed. The passage to the islet is a natural isthmus that, depending on the tide and time of year, can be between a few centimeters and half a meter deep. Walking through these crystal-clear waters, with the islet within reach, is a unique and very fun experience. You don't need to be an expert swimmer; just wade carefully. We advise wearing water shoes or neoprene booties to protect your feet from the small stones and pebbles on the seabed, although sand is predominant. It is a short, but unforgettable, crossing that takes us directly to the main beach of Bella Vraka, located on the islet's side.
