Once in Cangas, you must follow the signs towards the Hío area and, more specifically, towards Playa de Nerga. There is a designated Parking area near Nerga and the adjacent Playa de Viñó. This is where we recommend leaving your vehicle. From this point, access to Barra is on foot, via a path that runs along the coast and passes through a beautiful pine forest and the dune system. The path is simple and pleasant, although it is important to wear comfortable shoes, as it is a walk of about 10-15 minutes that will allow you to gradually immerse yourself in the natural atmosphere of the area.

For those who prefer public transport, the options are more limited. There are bus lines connecting Vigo and Pontevedra with Cangas, but once in the center of Cangas, you would have to take a taxi or, in high season, perhaps a local bus line that takes you closer to Nerga. However, to fully enjoy the flexibility and freedom offered by a visit to Barra, a private car remains the most practical option. Always remember to respect the parking areas and not invade the protected natural spaces.
