Getting to Playa de Arroyo Hondo in Benalmádena is relatively easy, although we always recommend planning the route to ensure a hassle-free experience. Its location, slightly set back from the main hub, contributes to its more tranquil atmosphere, but at the same time makes it accessible from different points.

By Car

Undoubtedly, the car is the most comfortable option for most visitors, especially if you are coming from other towns in Málaga or if you are carrying beach equipment. From the A-7 motorway, you can take the exit indicating Benalmádena or Mijas Costa, and then follow the signs towards the coast. Playa de Arroyo Hondo is located in the eastern area of Benalmádena, near the border with Fuengirola. There are parking areas on the surrounding streets, although in high season they can fill up quickly, so we advise arriving early. We always prefer to look for parking on nearby streets and take a short walk to the sand; it's part of the charm of discovering a new place.

By Public Transport

If you prefer public transport, you also have options. The L-2 bus line in Benalmádena connects various areas of the municipality and has stops relatively close to the beach. For those coming from Málaga city or Fuengirola, the C-1 Cercanías train is an excellent alternative to Arroyo de la Miel station, and from there you can take a taxi or a local bus to get closer to the beach.
