It is a favorite destination for naturism enthusiasts, who find here a space of freedom and respect, although it is also perfectly enjoyable for those who prefer to keep their swimwear on. How to Get to Playa de Aguas Blancas

Getting to Playa de Aguas Blancas is already part of the adventure and immerses us in the most authentic spirit of Ibiza. It is located on the east coast of the island, relatively close to the charming towns of San Carlos and Santa Eulalia del Río. We always recommend the car as the most comfortable and practical option for exploring the island's most secluded coves. From Santa Eulalia, the journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes, following the signs to San Carlos and then turning off towards the coast. The road is picturesque, winding through fields and pine trees, which prepares us for the natural beauty that awaits.

Once we approach the beach, we will find a parking lot, usually paid, located at the top of the cliff. It is important to consider that, especially in high season, this parking lot can fill up quickly, so we advise arriving early to secure a good spot. From the parking lot, access to the beach is via a somewhat steep path and some wooden stairs. Although the descent is manageable, it requires some caution, especially if we are loaded with umbrellas, coolers, or if we are accompanied by small children or people with reduced mobility. However, every step is worth it, as the panoramic views during the descent are simply spectacular and offer us a first visual contact with the immensity and beauty of the place.

There is also the possibility of arriving by bus, although the frequencies are usually more limited and the stop might leave us some distance from the beach, requiring an additional walk. For us, the flexibility offered by the car is key to being able to enjoy the beach at our own pace and explore the surroundings without time constraints.

The Sand and the Water

When we talk about Playa de Aguas Blancas, the sand and the water are, without a doubt, two of its greatest attractions and what give it such a distinctive character. The sand is of an intense golden color, very fine and soft to the touch, making it perfect for long barefoot walks or simply for lying down and feeling its warmth under the Ibizan sun. Along the shore, it is common to find small stones and seashells, which add a natural touch and invite us to search for some small treasure as a souvenir.

But it is the water that truly captivates us. Its shades range from a crystal-clear transparency near the shore to a vibrant turquoise in the deeper areas. Its clarity is such that we can observe the seabed with astonishing ease, making it an idyllic place for snorkeling. The waters are generally calm and shallow in the first few meters, making it quite safe for swimming, even for the little ones, always under supervision. The water temperature, especially in the summer months, is pleasantly warm and refreshing at the same time.

A unique detail of Playa de Aguas Blancas is the presence of clay in the cliffs that flank it. It is a tradition among bathers, and something we have also tried with enthusiasm, to collect this wet clay and apply it to the skin as if it were a natural face mask. The sensation is refreshing and it is said to have beneficial properties for the skin. After letting it dry in the sun, we simply immerse ourselves in the sea to rinse off, leaving the skin soft and revitalized. It is a fun and very 'Ibizan' experience that you cannot miss. The combination of the golden sand, crystal-clear water, and the possibility of enjoying a natural spa make this beach a truly unforgettable place.
