How to Get to Playa de Agios Prokopios

Getting to Playa de Agios Prokopios from Naxos Town (Chora), the island's capital, is surprisingly easy and convenient. The distance is approximately 5-6 kilometers, allowing us to quickly reach our relaxation destination.

By Bus

The bus is the most popular and economical option. The Naxos bus network is efficient and connects Chora with the main Naxos beaches, including Agios Prokopios. The buses are modern, comfortable, and the frequency is high during the peak season, with services every 15-30 minutes. The stops are conveniently located, allowing us to get off right where we want to start our beach day.

By Taxi or Private Transfer

If we prefer a more comfortable and direct option, a taxi or private transfer is an excellent alternative. There is a main taxi stand in Naxos Town, near the port, and the prices are reasonable for the journey. It's a way to start the vacation stress-free, especially if we are traveling with luggage or small children.

By Rental Car or Motorbike

For those of us who enjoy the freedom to explore the island at our own pace, renting a car or motorbike is the best option. The road to Playa de Agios Prokopios is well-paved and signposted. The beach has several parking areas, although in the middle of the high season it can be a bit more difficult to find a spot. Having our own vehicle gives us the flexibility to visit other Naxos beaches or explore the island's mountainous interior.
